Gwendolyn Presley Kerrens

A loving mother and a resident of Slaughter, Gwen passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at 4:20pm at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Bluebonnet. She was 77, retired from Lane Memorial Hospital, and a native of McColough, Alabama.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 48pm, and on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Gwen is survived by five children, Brenda Pierce and husband Wayne, Glenda Lillis and husband Thomas, Jimmy Presley, Gene Presley and wife Dayna, and Johnny M. Presley stepson, Kenneth Kerrens three siblings, Helen Schill, Sandy Walker, and Donnie Walker 14 grandchildren, and 28 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands, James Edward Presley and Herbert Kerrens her parents, Dewey and Jessie Walker three brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers will be Johnny M. Presley, Tommy Lillis, Nathan Simoneaux, Micha Presley, Lesli Presley, and Jimmy Robbins.

Gwen was a member of New Beginnings Church, and was devoted to her family. She will be deeply missed.
