A resident of Greenwell Springs, she passed away at 12:40am on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Butterfly Wing of Hospice of Baton Rouge Inpatient Unit. She was born Agnes Grace Berthelot in Morganza on April 27, 1922. She was 89. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 10am until religious services in the chapel at 2pm, conducted by Deacon Willie Berthelot and Rev. Don Hoy. Inurnment will be at a later date. Survived by three sons, Gerald Jimmy Noland and wife, Sue of Cedar Park, Texas, David M. Noland and wife, Linda of Greenwell Springs, and Larry K. Noland of Morgan City two sisters, Louise Serio and Mary Lee Cifreo, both of Baton Rouge two brothers, Joseph D. Berthelot Jr. of Pride, and Deacon Willie Berthelot of Baker nine grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and two greatgreat grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Lee Samples a son, Charles L. Noland a grandson, James Chris Noland and two sisters, Amy LeCoq and Irma Ortis. Grace attended Brookstown Baptist Church, where she was a member of The Joyful Singers. Her favorite song was Amazing Grace. She enjoyed crocheting and various crafts, and was good with her hands. She could stretch a penny better than anybody, had a green thumb, and could take apart and fix anything.
