Geraldine “Jerrie” Fontenot

Geraldine "Jerrie" Stelly Fontenot, 76 years old, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 1, 2022. She entered this world on September 10, 1946 born to Mr Clifton and Mrs Emma Stelly in Opelousas, LA.

Jerrie is survived by her; 2 sons, Kenneth and wife, Leslie Fontenot and Brian Fontenot; 4 daughters, JoLynn and husband, Troy Pearson, Michelle Henry, Monique Thibodeaux and Mike, Amber and husband, Justin Capdepon; 10 grandchildren, Brittany, Katie, Brandi, Tyler, Brooke, Blake, Claire, Peyton C., Peyton T., and Austin; great-grandchildren, Carson, Brianna, Maddelyn, Olivia, Mason, Benton, Emma, Weston, Evelyn, Kade, Kole, Katie C., Hudson, Hailee, Kinlynn, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jerrie is preceded in death by her husband Shelton "Shell" James Fontenot; parents, Clifton and Emma Stelly; brothers, Larry and Floyd Stelly; sister, Joyce Bertrand; and great-grandson, Riley Reynolds.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Deacon Tommy Benoit.
