Gerald Wayne Collier

Gerald Wayne Collier, a native and resident of Baywood, Louisiana, was born on June 26, 1943, and passed away peacefully at his home on August 21, 2024, at the age of 81. Gerald served in the Louisiana Army Reserves and retired from Rhodia, Inc. with 31 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia "Pat" Ballard Collier; his sister, Willie Smith; his special niece, Sherry Ballard Lear; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Winnie Felps Collier; his three sisters, Irma Lee Morgan, Vennie Ott, and Lula Ballard; and his three brothers, Charles, Gates, and Thurman Collier.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation in Gerald's honor at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, LA, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
