Gaston Normand

Gaston Normand, 84 years old, beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 25, 2021. He was born to Gastry and Percy Normand, in Alexandria, LA. Gaston honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. He was in the Local 1098 for 35 years and served as the treasurer for 28 years. He was a horse trainer and farrier and was well known as one of the best. He loved hunting and fishing.

Gaston is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Frances Normand; son, Tracy Normand; stepchildren, Rhonda Boatner, Mike Tullier, Kenny Tullier, and Julie Carmichael; grandchildren, Zoe and Luke Zimmer, Nathan and Matthew Boatner, and Riley Woods; sister, Shirley Davis; and nephews, Rick Davis, Chris Lowe, Ryan Lowe.

Gaston is preceded in death by father, Percy Normand; mother, Gastry Normand; and nephew, Vince Lowe

Serving as pallbearers will be Ryan Lowe, David Carmichael, Drew Boatner, Jude Tullier, Bill Doucet, and Kevin Hearld, Blaine Boatner, and Kenny Tullier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Davis, Chris Lowe, Allen Prestridge, and Mike Tullier.

Masks are recommended upon entering the funeral home.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Bill Carmichael. The graveside service with military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
