A retired maintenance supervisor with Honeywell with 20 years of service, a resident of Central, and a former longtime Baker resident, he died of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans. He was 66, a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 5:308:30pm, and on Saturday, May 26, 2012 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Jim Efferson. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by wife, Cheryl Rhodes Law of Central two daughters and a soninlaw, Lara Law Arceneaux and fiance Armond Dufren Jr. of Jean Lafitte, and Jill and Jeff Calloway of Baton Rouge a son, Brett Law and fiance Amy Roberts of Baton Rouge two brothers and sistersinlaw, Donald and Sandra Law of Brazoria, Texas, and Michael and Carol Law of Central and five grandchildren, Julian Arceneaux, Garrett and Lexie Richardson, and Claire and Ainsley Calloway. Preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Doris Dougherty Law. Pallbearers are Jeff Calloway, Julian Arceneaux, Garrett Richardson, Donald and Michael Law, Malcolm Tullos, and Tommy Ensminger. Gary was a member of Indian Mound Baptist Church. He was an LSU graduate and a former member of Tiger Band. He loved to play golf and watch LSU football. He was an excellent cook, and loved to fish.
