Fredric Prescott, Jr.

Fredric Leon Prescott, Jr., age 60, who was a resident of Baker, passed away on February 25, 2016 at his home.

He worked as a Machinist in commercial construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being outdoors, riding bikes, shooting BB guns and fishing. He loved riding his motorcycle on beautiful weekends and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Fredric is survived by his fiancé, Karen Moran Law; one daughter, Elisha Prescott Mayberry (fiancé Wayne Powers, Jr.) of Kentwood; one son, Jamie Lee Prescott (fiancé Emily Shaffer) of Gonzales, four grandchildren, James Joseph Mayberry III, Cameron Alene Foreman, Layla Maria Mayberry, and Mason Prescott; his father, Fredric Leon Prescott, Sr.; two brothers, Douglas Prescott and Clinton Prescott both of Kentwood; and dear friend and brother, Pete Moore.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Drummond Prescott and his mother, Mary Owens Prescott.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 9:00 AM until time for services.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Baker Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Pete Moore, Jamie Prescott, Wayne Powers, Doug Prescott, Clint Prescott, Clark Moran, Will Prescott, and Mike Prescott.
