Freda Landry

Freda Sonnier Landry, 93, and a resident of Central, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 11, 2017. Freda was born in St. Landry Parish, LA on March 21, 1924 to Louis and Louisette Sonnier. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church and a retired clerk at Sides Pharmacy. She was a wonderful homemaker and she loved her family dearly.

Freda is survived by her daughter, Linda Landry; two sons, Galen Landry and David Landry and wife, Melodie; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Bernard Sonnier and wife Lu and Paul Sonnier and wife Linda.

Freda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Hubert "Boo" Landry; sister, Ruby Schoen; great-granddaughter, Sierra Landry; daughter-in-law, Maureen Landry; and her sister-in-law, Patricia Sonnier.

Pallbearers will be Chris Delaune, Josh Meeks, Jamie Landry, Gage Kilcrease, Scott Landry, Dwayne Landry, Lance Landry, and Mike Kilcrease.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Thursday, April 13, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Deacon Shelley Joseph. The graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
