Franklin D Corbell
A 42 year resident of Slaughter, he went home to be with the Lord at his home in his Alabama Crimson Tide den on Sunday, July 7, 2013, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born at home in Cottondale, Alabama on October 16, 1943 to Carlton Otis and Annie Pearl Cain Corbell. He retired from Exxon Mobil Resin Plant, formerly known as Hercules Resin Plant, which he helped establish. In the 80s, he taught fire safely at fire school at Texas AM, and was one of the four men sent to Europe to meet with China to discuss plans for the first Exxon plant in China. He was a lifetime fan of the University of Alabama College football team, The Crimson Tide. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Brother Kelly Jolly. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by wife, Mary Ann Lunsford Corbell son, Brandon Patin daughters, Diane Corbell Webb, Karen Corbell Mayeux, and Toni Corbell grandsons, Jason Miller, Marcus Drew Webb, Tres Mayeux, and Broc Arnold granddaughters, Natasia Webb Brannam, Raven Webb Ramke, and Hailey Mayeux great grandsons, Gabriel Creel, and Ahren and Liam Ramke great granddaughters, Keirstin and Raegan Sutherland, and Braelyn and Rebekka Brannam sister, Ann Sissy Huffman brothers, Tom and LeeRoy Corbell five nieces, and nine nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Otis Corbell and Annie Pearl Cain Corbell eldest daughter, Mary Beth Corbell Miller eldest granddaughter, Christy Miller Creel brothers, JC Sonny and JM Corbell and a nephew, Dewey Lee Corbell. Pallbearers are Jason Miller, Marcus Webb, Eddie Huffman, Broc Arnold, Raymond Miller, and Kyle Brannam. Honorary Pallbearers are his Exxon coworkers.
