Frances Ponson

She was a loving, caring and wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Greatgrandmother. Born May 14, 1921, she passed away April 8, 2011 and the age of 89 and is now with her heavenly Father. Fannie was married to Stanford J. Ponson for 59 years. After retiring from D.H. Holmes, she became a fulltime homemaker often cooking and entertaining her numerous grandchildren. Visiting will be Tuesday April 12, 2011 from 9:00 am until religious services at the Baker Funeral Home chapel at 11:30 conducted by Revs. Mike Maroney and Tom Beaty. Entombment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Watts and husband Billy, son John and wife Jan Ponson. She is also survived by ten Grandchildren, Chad Watts, Blake Watts, Alan Watts, Jeffrey Ponson, Stanford Ponson, Phillip Ponson, Steven Ponson, Jaime Kelley, Caroline Bounds and Ashley Ponson and nine Greatgrandchildren. Fannie was preceeded in death by her husband, Stanford J. Ponson, two sons, Richard J. Ponson and Michael S. Ponson, her parents, John and Frances Briehn, and a sister Edna Beaty. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Service of the Capital Area, 3772 North Blvd, Baton Rouge, La. The family would like to thank Sheila, Estelle, Cathy and also would like to thank Janelle and Terri with Clarity Hospice for the care given to our Mother and Grandmother.
