March 02, 2012, Jesus welcomed into heaven his good and faithful servant, Eva Graves. A resident of Baker and a native of Ellisville, Mississippi, she died Friday, March 02, 2012 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Bluebonnet. Born April 25, 1937, she passed at the age of 74. Eva was married to her loving husband, Melvin Graves for 57 years. Eva is remembered as a Godly woman the sweetest, most loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend that anyone could hope for. All who came in contact with her were shown the love of God that lived in her. Evas life was full and complete. Visiting at Brownfields Baptist Church, 11998 Plank Road, Baton Rouge, on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 59pm, and on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 9am until religious services at 10am, conducted by Rev. Steve Bridges. A second service will take place at 4pm Monday at Sand Hill Baptist Church, 69 Sandhill Church Road, Ellisville, Mississippi. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Melvin Graves of Baker daughter and soninlaw, Marilyn and Roger Marsh of Baker a son and daughterinlaw, Mark and Beverly Graves of Mandeville a brother, Charles Turner of Ellisville, MS four grandchildren, Sally Graves, Leanna Graves, Amber Fabre and husband David, and Michael Beadle and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Bender and her parents, Charlie and Carrie Turner. Eva was a member of Brownfields Baptist Church where she served as church hostess and Sunday School teacher for over 40 years. She was also President of Cypress Exxon Retirement Club for 12 years.
