Ethel Reita Trocher, 88, a long time resident of Poughkeepsie, New York, died Tuesday, October 16th, at Gilchrist Hospice in Ellicott City, Maryland with her family by her side. She was born in Prairieville, Louisiana on March 10, 1924, the daughter of John Cambre and Lillie Edmonston. Mrs. Trocher was predeceased by her husband, John Trocher, Sr. who died in 1996 and her brother Vincent Cambre. She is survived by her son John and his wife Joyce of Ellicott City, Maryland, along with three grandchildren, Eric and his wife Dianna, Alyssa Ranson and her husband Erik, and Daniel. She is also survived by her sister Dot Smith. Visiting will be held this Saturday, October 20th, from 9:00 to 11:00am at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 conducted by Fr. Frank Bass. She will be buried alongside her husband in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Gilchrist Hospice.
