A resident of Lane Regional Nursing Home, Zachary, Ethel died peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 10:05pm, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 86, and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, March 27, from 48pm, and on Friday, March 28 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11:00am, conducted by Rev. George Threeton. Interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. Survived by son and daughterinlaw, Stan and Katie Easley of Baker a sister and her daughter, Dorothy Frost Taylor and Nancy Taylor Wagenaar of Baton Rouge brotherinlaw, Rev. Frank Easley sisterinlaw, Lois Daigle Easley three grandchildren, Thomas Jason Easley and wife Amy of Madison, MS, Chad Lamar Easley of Baker, and Wendy Lynette Easley Watts and husband David of Zachary five great grandchildren, Emery, Claire, and Lauren Easley and Cade and Katie Watts and numerous nieces and newphews. Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Carl Easley and her parents, Lester Augusta Frost and Eppie Irene Brown Frost. Pallbearers are Neal Easley, Jesse Easley, John Easley, Hagan Easley, Chip Pierson, and O.B. Stiles. Ethel was a member of First Baptist Church of Baker. The family would like to give special thanks to all the nurses and caregivers at Lane Regional Nursing Home.
