Ervin King

Ervin Joseph King, age 79, a resident of Zachary, passed away on May 4, 2022.

Ervin, graduated from Istrouma High School in 1961 and married his high school sweetheart, Josie Hawkins on February 23, 1963. He retired from City of Baton Rouge after 25 years and enjoyed dancing, water skiing, playing softball and spending time with his family at his camp in Morgan City.

Ervin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Josie Louise King, son Ervin Forrest King, son and daughter-in-law Bennett Walker King and Tara King, son and daughter-in-law John Wayne King and Dory King, son Jerry William King. Grandchildren: Natalie Johns, Lacey Richard, Michael King, Devon Achee, Adam King, Alexandra King, Zoe King, Morgan King, Sydney King, Cole King and 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents Albert & Annie King.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Craig Richard, Lacey Richard, Morgan King, Sydney King, Cole King

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Friday, May 06, 2022, from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, in Baker, Louisiana.
