Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth Anderson Smith, 73, passed away at Promise Hospital on Friday, February 26, following a struggle with several health issues. She had lived in Denham Springs for the past few months but previously had been a lifelong resident of Pride, where she was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. After graduating from Pride High School, Elizabeth worked at the Office of Motor Vehicles Headquarters for 33 years. Her outgoing, caring, and warm personality reaped many friendships, and the title of Favorite Aunt and Cousin to many of her extended family. She valued relationship and loved and treasured family.

Besides her dearly loved son Judson Smith and his wife Caroline, she leaves behind two special grandsons, Jackson and Zachary Smith, the apples of her eye; two brothers, John Daniel and Alfred Gerald Anderson; and a number of other relatives who will miss her greatly, as well as many friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, mother Louise and stepfather James Talbert, and father Morgan Anderson.

Visitation will be at Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 2, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, with service following at 11:00. She will be buried at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Keith Norwood, Bobby Joe Norwood, Corey Nichols, Randall Whitehead, Bryan Kelly, and Ross Goynes.
