Elizabeth "Betty Mae" Cunningham Mixon, 85 years old, lifelong resident of Baker, Louisiana, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend was called to her eternal resting place on May 26, 2018. She entered this world on March 4, 1933 in Centreville, Mississippi, born to Raymond Francis Cunningham and Eulice Jane Cunningham. She was known as "Big Momma and Memaw" to all her grandchildren and the children in the neighborhood where she lived.
Elizabeth is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca "Becky" and husband Stan, Tammy and husband Darrell "Keith"; two sons Donald Jr. "Donnie" and wife Lisa, and Rory Mixon; eleven grandchildren, Stan Jr, Molly, Samantha, Savannah, Shayna, Kaleb, Katelyn, Kameron, Kirsten, Haley and Rachel; eleven great grandchildren, Mitchell, Phoebe, Abijane, Ashlyn, Bryce, Clara, Whitney, Tristan, Sailor, Zane and Ryker; two sisters, Patricia Wilson and Helen Hughes; one brother, Wayne Cunningham; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Donald Lee Mixon; parents, Raymond Francis Cunningham and Eulice Jane Cunningham; five sisters, Agnes Goudeau, Gladys Goudeau, Frances Holmes, Elaine Wilson and Leslie Kay Willson; three brothers, Raymond Cunningham, Dale Cunningham and Frankie Cunningham.
Pallbearers will be Keith Johnson, Kaleb Mixon, Kameron Mixon, Brady Crow, Stan Reeves Jr. and Brian Peterson.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. conducted by Reverend Ted Roeling. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
