Elizabeth Jones

A resident of Baker, she passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 1:22pm at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. She was 73, and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 58pm, and on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 8:30am until religious services in the chapel at 10:30am, conducted by Rev. Jeff Bayhi. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by husband of 58 years, Fred Chester Jones, Sr. of Baker six sons and five daughtersinlaw, Fred C. Jones, Jr. of Wilson, Joseph W. and Esther Jones of Ethel, Michael A. and Kathy Jones of Gonzales, Matthew D. and Tara Jones of Zachary, Mark D. and Marilyn Jones of Baker, and Christopher L. and Rebecca Jones of Zachary a brother, Joseph Warren McMillian of Monterrey 14 grandchildren, Chrissy, Candice, Sharee, Jessica, Joshua, Nicole, Laura, Daryl, Victoria, Mark Jr., Airica, Mason, Austin, and Rachel and 10 greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Lamar and Beatrice McMillian and a sister, Ruth Karen Ferrichi. Pallbearers will be her six sons. Elizabeth enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, lots of friends, and raising, training, and doing field trials with her bird dogs. She also loved traveling around the United States, and having the family together for crawfish boils and barbques.
