Earl Kling

He was retired employee of Illinois Central Railroad with 38 years of service. A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Geismer. He passed away Friday January 28, 2011 at 8:00 pm at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was 83. Visiting Sunday 5:009:00 at Baker Funeral Home and again on Monday at Blackwater United Methodist Church from 9:00 until religious services at 10:30 conducted by Pastor Linda Hagan. Interment to follow in Blackwater Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Betty Rabb Kling, two daughters and soninlaw, Sheila and Bob Troth and Patti Kling. One son and daughterinlaw, Barry and Theresa Kling. Three sisters, Lena Glen, Rita Hernandez and Kathrine Furlow as well as one brother, Carlyn Kling. Four grandchilren, Natalie LaCost, William LaCost, Hope Kling and Gabriel Kling. He is preceded in death by his partents, Claude and Alix Kling, sister, Lydia Richardson and brothers Wilton and C.J. Kling. He was a member of the Big R Club and Blackwater United Methodist Church where he served as usher.
