Earl Edward "Eddy" Colbey, age 50, resident of Phoenix, Arizona, native of Baker, Baton Rouge, passed away on November 11, 2016 in Baton Rouge.
Eddy is survived by his wife, Leticia Colbey; mother, Ruth Bell Colbey; daughter, Harmoni R. Colbey; two sons, Richard E. Colbey, wife Danielle, and Vance H. Gossett; step-daughters, Sarah B. Burkhead, Yulisa L. Burkhead and Briana M. Naranjo; 2 grandchildren, Apple Naranjo and Abby Esparza; two sisters, Jeannie Spell, husband Timothy, and Rosemary Meredith; two brothers, Peter Colbey, wife Cheryl, and Wayne Colbey, wife Mary. Eddy is also survived by a host of friends and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his father, Earl N. Colbey.
Pallbearers will be Tim Spell II, Darrel Badeaux, Richard Colbey, Pete Colbey, Todd Netherland and James Heil. Honary pallbearers will be Dub Prey, Henry Carroll, Anthony Spell and David Stewart.
Everyone is invited to join the family at Saintsville COGIC (formerly Life Tabernacle Church), 8930 Plank Road, Baton Rouge on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Pastor Tony Spell. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Baker.
