Anonymous A resident of Zachary and a native of Addis, Dustin Michael Delapasse, 38, passed away at his home at 4:30am on Saturday, September 1, 2012, after a lengthy and inspirational battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family as he entered into eternal rest. Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4727 McHugh Dr., Zachary, LA, on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 710pm, with Recitation of the Rosary at 8pm. Visiting resumes at the church on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from noon until Mass of Christian Burial at 2pm, celebrated by Father Jeff Bayhi. Dustin was born June 12, 1974, to the union of Mickey and Sabrina David Delapasse. He was a graduate of Brusly High School and attended Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. He served as a member of the Air National Guard Reserve and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary. Dustin was a dedicated and longtime employee of Exxon Mobil Polyolefins Plant. He and his wife owned DDel, Inc., a successful contracting business and the Bennett House Banquet Facility. He was a member of the Ancient Athletes. Dustin loved architectural design and designed all of his homes. He enjoyed golf, basketball, volleyball, family boat outing day, and the beach. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife, Danya Doiron Delapasse daughter, Peyton Delapasse son, Dax Delapasse stepsons, Billy Ty Foster and Blade Foster parents, Mickey and Sabrina David Delapasse siblings, Clint Delapasse and Amber Delapasse grandparents Alcide Delapasse, and Allen and Mary Ann David inlaws, Gary and Lynne Doiron, Chad Doiron and spouse Kim and Blaine Doiron niece, Bailey Doiron godchild, Camryn Comeaux and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Betty Lou Delapasse and his uncle, Steve Cavanaugh. Pallbearers will be Clint Delapasse, Jory Comeaux, Chad Doiron, Blaine Doiron, Jason Jackson, Brad Langlois, Jay LeBlanc, and Charles Badeaux. Honrary pallbearers will be Exxon Mobil coworkers. The family would like to thank the communities of Zachary, LA and West Baton Rouge Parish for their faithful and generous love and support throughout Dustins illness. Special thanks to Father Bayhi his hospice nurse, Brandi Mrs. Ruth Mouch the nursing staffs of Our Lady of the Lake 5West and Mary Byrd Perkins Cancer Center and Dr. Byrd. A loving husband and father, and a cherished son and brother, Dustin was also a beloved member of the Zachary and West Baton Rouge communities. He was a friend to all he met and will be remembered for his generous spirit, his enthusiasm for life, his many acts of personal kindness, and his beautiful smile.
