Douglas Milligan

Douglas "Doug" Charles Milligan Sr., 70 years old, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on July 25, 1952, born in Baton Rouge, LA. He worked most of his life as a Pressman in the Printing Industry and later worked for LEWCO as a Textile Operator. Doug retired as a Bridge Operator for the DOTD. Everything he did was done because of his great love for his family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Penny Renee Milligan; 3 sons, Douglas Charles Milligan, Jr. (Jamy), Brian Douglas Milligan, and Ronald James Bastine (Mariah); 3 daughters, Nikki Renee Milligan Fussell, Ashley Nicole Milligan Breaux (Chet), and Danielle Foshee Montiville (Brett); 4 grandsons, Aaron, Zachary, and Matthew Fussell, and Lane Breaux; 2 great-granddaughters, Hazel and Olive Fussell; brother, David Milligan (Pam); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Doug is preceded in death by his father, Donald Milligan; mother, Sarah Maggio Richard; Stepfather, Peter Richard; and sisters, Jennifer Milligan Hastings and Sandy Milligan Stiles (Richard).

Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Milligan, Jr., David Milligan, Chet Breaux, Gavin Coombes, Donnie Kirby, and Brian Caillouet. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Milligan, Aaron Fussell, Zachary Fussell, Matthew Fussell, and Lane Breaux.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Friday, April 28th, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 12:00 PM, officiated by Bro. Matt Hays. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
