Dorothy Wysor

A native of Baker and a resident of Slaughter, she passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center MidCity at the age of 89. She was a US Navy veteran of WWII, a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a former teacher at Baker Middle School. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 58pm, and on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 8am until religious services in the chapel at 10am, conducted by Rev. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by her husband of 58 years, George O. Wysor of Slaughter a daughter and soninlaw, Esther Nickie and James D. Deslatte of San Antonio, TX two brothers, George E. Ory of Jackson, and Albert M. Ory of Baker four grandchildren, Patrick, John, Dorian, and Noelle Deslatte and one great grandson, James Cardenas. Preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Reginald and Virgil Ory and three sisters, Marjorie Roop, Gloria Cameron, and Susie Butler. Carol was an avid gardener, a faithful wife, and a good mother.
