A resident of Central and a retired bookkeeper, she died Sunday, February 5, 2012 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. She was 84, and a native of Marksville. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 59pm. Visiting at New Beginnings Church of God, 1124 Georgia St., Baker, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from 9am until religious services at 11am, conducted by Rev. Dale Richter. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Survived by her husband, Thomas J. T.J. Tarver of Central a daughter and soninlaw, Linder and Dale Richter of Central four grandchildren, Bradley Michael Pine and wife, Michelle E. Pine of Baton Rouge, Courtney Amber Pine of Central, Shelley Renee Richter of Houston, and Shanna Danielle Richter of Baton Rouge four great grandchildren, Jayden Lane LeGrange of Central, and Lily Monroe Pine, Noah Bradley Pine and Londyn Danielle Pope, all of Baton Rouge and a host of nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Caesar and Edna Mae Desselles, a son Terrell Jason Tarver two brothers and four sisters. Dot was affectionately known as Mama T by her great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Beginnings Church of God, where she was a member.
