A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Brookhaven, Dorothy Dot Dunaway Crosby passed away at 2:30am on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was 83, and a former PBX operator with Southern Bell Telephone. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 69pm, and on Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Glenn Taylor. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Maxwell J. Crosby of Baton Rouge a daughter and soninlaw, Dottie Charles Palmisano of Slidell a son, John M. Thoms of Baton Rouge two stepsons, Paul Samuel Crosby of Geismar nine grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Daisey Davis Dunaway a son, Robert Sydney Thoms a daughter, Martha Crosby and three sisters. Dot was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
