Dolores F. Mouton
A native of Donaldsonville, Dolores passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at The Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing. She was 85, and a resident of Baker since 1955.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, February 19, from 5-9pm, with Recitation of the Rosary at 7pm. Visiting will resume at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, Baton Rouge, on Friday, February 20, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, celebrated by The Rev. Fr. Frank Bass. There will be a private burial in St. Martinville.
Dolores is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Paula and Allen Cohen, Cherie and Douglas Gibson, Martha Verde, and Mary Mouton; seven sons and six daughters-in-law, Polo, Sr. and June Mouton, Christopher and Rosanna Mouton, Gerard and Debbie Mouton, Andre Mouton, Chester, Jr. and Debra Mouton, Gabriel and Karen Mouton, and Dixon and April Mouton; sister, Phyllis Duchamp; brother, Lee Fournet and wife, Doris; 26 grandchildren, Caryn Bazemore, Jason Gibson, Kimmy Gibson, Cody Gibson, Brandon Landry, Mindy O'Neil, Polo Mouton, Jr., Marlee Signorino, Holly Cantu, Lawrence Mouton, Alyssa Mouton, Jeremiah Mouton, John Paul Mouton, Brandi Childress, Carly Mouton, April Mouton, Chester Mouton, III, Hayden Mouton, Baylee Mouton, Chloe Mouton, D.J. Shows, Gabrielle Shows, Quinten Shows, Olivia Verde, Jacob Mouton, and Joseph Mouton; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Mouton, Sr.; father, Walter Fournet, Sr.; mother, Lillian Richard Fournet; two brothers, Lynn Fournet, and Walter Fournet, Jr.; and two grandchildren, Michael Cohen and Jordan Mouton.
Dolores was a devout member of the Catholic Daughters of America for over 50 years and held several offices throughout the years. She was a faithful member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and a longtime member of White Hills Homemaker's Club.

A beautiful soul has passed, but her memory will never fade.
