Dion Mark Viola

A resident of Baker, Dion passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Regency Place Nursing and Rehab Center. He was 54, a native of Baton Rouge, and a former carpenter. Woodworking was his passion.

Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, May 23, from 59pm, and on Saturday, May 24, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11:00am. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.

Dion was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Ione Wyble Viola. He is survived by his father, James Viola of Baker brother and sisterinlaw, Dennis J. and Connie Viola of Lakeland and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Lenny Viola, Charles Viola Jr., Johnny Viola Jr., Darwin Breaux, Duane Breaux, and Dean Mayeux.

Dion was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus Council 6531.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
