Derek Guessfeld

Derek James Guessfeld a native and resident of Zachary, LA passed away July 31, 2024, due to an automobile accident. Derek deeply loved his family and friends. He never met a stranger. He worked in roofing/construction and recently maintenance HVAC at Renaissance. He had an undeniable love for animals, especially his two dogs, Gucci and Nina. He loved to do woodworking, cooking, and he enjoyed LSU and Saints sports.

Derek is survived by his daughter, Aubrey Fink; father, James R. Guessfeld (Cathy); mother, Nancy Guessfeld; brother, Jon Guessfeld; sisters, Brooke Broome and Katy Guessfeld; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Val and Helen Adams; paternal grandmother, Ann Gibbens Alldredge.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home at 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, August 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM until the memorial service at 7:00 PM, officiated by Bishop Kevin Hancock.
