WILSON, David Roy
A retired Electrical Engineer with Kaiser Aluminum and a resident of Baker, he passed away on Thursday February 25, 2010 at 2:55pm at The Carpenter House at the age of 85. He was a native of Clinton, and a US Army veteran of WWII. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, Sunday February 28 from 46pm and on Monday March 1 from 10am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Rev. Charlene Heaton and Rev. Ted Roeling. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Cunningham Wilson two daughters and sonsinlaw, Patsy husband Jim Hampton of Oakland, CA, and Lisa husband Lewis Roeling of Baton Rouge two sons and daughtersinlaw, David wife Arlene Wilson and Steve wife Kathy Wilson, all of Baton Rouge two brothers and two sistersinlaw, Duncan C. Wilson of Wilson, LA, and Jewel M. Barbara Wilson of Baker, and Cathy Wilson of Greenwell Springs 10 grandchildren, Joshua Davies, Dwayne Wilson wife Kathie, Geoffrey Wilson wife Jacqueline, Trevor Wilson, Steven Wilson Jr, Dakota Wilson, Shelby Wilson, Jerritt Carroll, Elizabeth Roeling, and James Roeling and two great grandchildren, Dalton Alyssa Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duncan Katie Wilson two brothers, Donald Thomas Wilson and a sister, Mary Smith. Pallbearers will be Joshua Davies, Dwayne Wilson, Geoffrey Wilson, Trevor Wilson, James Roeling, Steven Wilson Jr, Jim Hampton, Lewis Roeling. Roy was an Elder Emeritus at Baker Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors at Ochsner Clinic, the staff of Our Lady of the Lake, Amedysis, and St. Joseph Hospice for exceptional care and kindness.
