John 14: 1-3brA beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her life to family and friends. She loved life, and her laughter and joy was like a light that shown on all who were around her until the very end. She cared not for herself but for all those she loved so dearly. She died at 5pm on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 81, a resident of Central and a native of Grand Prairie. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker, on Monday, Dec. 28, 2009 from 4-9pm. Visiting at St. Isidore Catholic Church Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, celebrated by the Rev. Fred Youngs. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by husband, John I. Fontenot; four daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Rocky Nettles of Ethel, Patsy Brent Deaville of Baton Rouge, Peggy Terry Meyers of Central, and Debbie Ken Harold of Baton Rouge; a sister, Delores Jeansonne; 10 grandchildren, Tracy Watson husband, Sam, Michelle Piper husband Ronnie, Candice Fontenot husband Les, Brandi LeBlanc husband Gregg, Ryan Deaville, Jason Meyers wife, Keri, Tosha Kowal husband Barry, Terry Meyers, Chad Randall wife Brandi, Cory Harold wife Jessica; 13 great grandchildren, Chastity, Destiny, Landon, Lawson, Laney, Bailey, Caden, Cote, Scott, Katie, Emily, Tyler, and Taylor; and three great great grandchildren, Tommy, Swade, Chad. Preceded in death by her parents, Willray Rose Jones; three brothers, Irving, Willray, Jimmy Jones; and two sisters, Camay Dupre Osa Dupre. Pallbearers are Jason, Ryan, Chad, Terry Jr, Brent, and Terry Sr. Go rest now, Momma, for you are at peace now. We know you will be watching over us. God has chosen you to go first in our family. You have done your job. Now it is time for you to be with the Lord. Let us carry on what you have taught us. The memories of you will live in our hearts and you will always be with us. We love you.
