A native and resident of Pride, he passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. He was 84, and a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired school teacher, band director, and guidance counselor for East Baton Rouge Parish Schools, and owned and operated Tuckers Flowers and Gifts for many years. Visiting at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, 22834 Liberty Road, Zachary, LA, on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 2pm until religious services at 4pm, conducted by Rev. Danny Greig. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Survived by wife, Patsy Smith Tucker daughter, Jodi Mac three sons and a daughterinlaw, Jervis Tucker, Kleve and Cindi Tucker, and Dana Tucker sister, Nettie Fletcher six grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Dolly Westbrook Tucker and a brother, Bertrand Tucker. Pallbearers are Glen Tucker, Wayne Tucker, Tommy Tucker, Doug Wax, Arlin Dease, and Tracy Kent.
