Clevon Jewel Johnson
A resident of Pride, Clevon passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, May 03, 2015. He was 90, a native of Fordoche, and retired from Allied Chemical.
Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, May 4, from 6-8pm, and on Tuesday, May 5, from 9am until religious services in the chapel at 11am, conducted by Chaplain Tom Bougher. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael and David Johnson, Andrew and Jonathan Foster, Daniel Jenkins, Matthew Tucker, Ryan Johnson, and Travis Baker.
Clevon is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Pam Foster; Rhonda and Bennie Jenkins, Phyllis and Billy Fussell, and Kathy "Puddin" and Brian Baker; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and JoAnn Johnson, and Kelvin and Brenda Johnson; two sisters, Ellen Thelen and Gurly Peyton; four brothers, Alton Johnson, Joe Johnson, Wilmer Johnson, and James Ed Kimble; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Harley "Lil Man."
Clevon was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Eva Nell Johnson; son-in-law, Lloyd Foster; and parents, Joe Johnson, Sr. and Lovie Johnson Neal.
Clevon loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and riding his golf cart with Harley.
