Clarence Legier "C.J."

Clarence Joseph Legier (C.J.) entered the gates of heaven on October 8, 2021 at the age of 86. A Baton Rouge resident who was an Army Veteran and self employed for over 50 years. He owned his own gas station and towing company.

C.J. is survived by his wife of 69 years, Verna; his children, Bryan and Rhonda; sister, Delores Guidroz; grandchildren, Darren, Mitch, Taylor, Darian and Mallorie; and seven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sadie and Wilson, and sister Georgia Legier.

He will be loved and missed by all. We would like to thank Dr. Smeeklie (Mary Bird) and all the staff at Lane Memorial for taking great care of Dad.


Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 5657 Thomas Road, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, officiated by Fr. Frank Bass. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
