Cheryl Saloom

Cheryl "Bridget" Williams Saloom, 75 years old. Bridget was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on October 28, 1946, born to Agnes and T.Y. Williams, in Monroe, LA. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed everything Louisiana had to offer including LSU baseball and football. She was a very athletic person. Among her interests were bowling, volleyball, softball, fishing, and golf. Bridget also had a love for working in her flower bed.

Bridget is survived by her loving husband of 56 years and 9 months, Robert Saloom; daughter, Kryste Saloom; grandchildren, her pride and joy's, Camden Michael, Kenadi Alexis Day, Larel Baldwin, Heaven Hulstrom, and Halo Morris; and also by her former son in-law and father of her grandchildren, Dale Day, Jr.; sisters, Judith Laurent and Mona Clifton; brother, George Randall, Godchild, Patti Saloom Breaux; a very special friend, Lee Rivette; a host of nieces and nephews, and per precious puppies, Bruneaux and Scout.

Bridget is preceded in death by her father, T.Y. Williams; mother, Agnes Taunton Williams; son, Mike Saloom; brothers, Darryl and Gary Williams; and sister, Jenny Williams.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, in Baker, Louisiana.
