Charlie Joseph Hayes, 67 years old, passed away on December 2, 2016, at his residence in Baker, LA after he courageously fought Progressive Supranuclear Palsy for 11 years. He owned Hayes Electric for 25 years and retired from the City of Baton Rouge as an electrical inspector. Charlie was a loving husband and wonderful father. He loved his Saviour, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and was a deacon emeritus at Plains Presbyterian Church in Zachary, Louisiana.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 46 years, Delores Day Hayes; two sons and daughter-in-law's, Eric Wallace and Erin Janway Hayes, and Christopher Charles and Katy Dart Hayes; a sister, Gloria Hayes Humphrey; and brother-in-law, Rodney Savini and his wife, Pam.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Joseph and Marie Verrett Hayes; and a sister, Evelyn Hayes Savini.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Plains Presbyterian Church, 22929 Old Scenic Highway, Zachary, on Sunday, December 4, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visiting will continue at Plains Presbyterian Church, on Monday, December 5, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastors Bob Wojohn, Campbell Silman and Armond Erwin will officiate the services. The graveside service and burial will follow in the Young Family Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana.
