Charles Hill

Charles Ernest Hill, 81 years old, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 13, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He entered this world on February 4, 1941, born to Margaret and Thomas Hill, in Scooba, MS. He was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Francisville.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Martha Hamilton Hill; son, Charles "Chuck" L. Hill; daughter, Patti J. Smithwick and her spouse, Douglas; son, John R. "Rusty" Hill and his spouse Betty; 7 grandchildren, Chelsea Strehle, Lakelyn Hill, Keysha Rowland, Jacob Carline, Karleigh Mouch, Amy Smithwick, and Michael Smithwick; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Eddie Joe Hill, Jim Hill, and Jerry Hill; 2 sisters, Carolyn Goldman and Kay Wilson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Ernest Hill.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 9:30 AM until the Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. A private burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
