A retired selfemployed painting contractor and a resident of Jackson, he passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 7:26am at his home. He was 65 and a native of Wisner. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 59pm, and on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 8am until religious services in the chapel at 10am, conducted by Brother James Tomlinson. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Survived by his wife, Mary House Alexander of Jackson two daughters, Angela Boykin and husband Charlie of Philadelphia, MS, and Ruth DeWeese and husband Jack of Denham Springs three sons, Charlie Alexander Jr. and wife Sue of Philadelphia, MS, Robert Bobby Howlett and wife Nancy of Baton Rouge, and Richard Howlett and wife Dora of Angola four sisters, Tressie Odgen of Baker, Faye Bradley and husband Frank of Ridley, LA, Sarah Tomlinson and husband James of Baker, and Vickie Cader and husband Gary of St. Joseph, LA a brother, Robert Alexander and wife Jackie of Lake Charles 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 13 nieces, and 10 nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Nolin and Leoma Alexander sister Cecil Sloan Parker two brothers, Woodrow Ben Alexander and Danny Tip Alexander and a son, Kevin Richard Alexander.
