A resident of Baker, Catherine passed away peacefully at her daughter, Alices home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 12:55pm. She was 85, a native of Baton Rouge, and a retired secretary.

Catherine was a 1946 graduate of Istrouma High School, where she was a drum majorette, and a graduate of LSU business school. Catherine was a lifelong Presbyterian, and a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Roseland. She loved quilting, traveling, and going to the casinos. She helped organize the Navy reunions, and also served as Treasurer.

Catherine is survived by three daughters and sonsinlaw, Alice and Robin Gremillion, Seleta and Bob Bodine, and Janet and Gary Dees, Sr. three grandchildren, Amy Johnson and husband Chris, Blaine Gremillion and wife Briana, and Catherine Stiles and husband Colton and three great grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, and Sophie Boggs.

Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband, Hosie Ernest Mac Magee, Jr. second husband, Jesse Dees Cannon a brother, James Jim Horton Clark, Jr. and her parents, Pauline and James Horton Clark, Sr.

Private services were held on Friday, August 22 at Baker Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Gary Dees, Sr., Gary Dees, Jr., Blaine Gremillion, Colton Stiles, Joey Garrison, and Robert Hutcheson.

Special thanks to Frank and the entire staff of Cardinal Hospice and to Dr. Mouton and his staff.
