Carol Tomlinson Clark, departed to go to her Heavenly Home in the evening of August 28, 2021. She held the hand of her beloved husband, Ruben B. Clark, who survives her after 54 years of marriage. They were married April 18, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Carol was born on December 21, 1944 in Amsterdam, New York. Carol always welcomed children of family friends into her home and enjoyed cooking for them. She was a master seamstress, a talented artist and she used her gifts to bless others.
Carol is survived by her loving husband and children, Hardy Tomlinson Clark (Karen) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; David Todd Clark (Emily) of Derby, Kansas; Jeremy Ruben Clark (Jennifer) of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; Rebecca Jane Anderson (Tyler) of Smithfield, Utah; Heather Kathleen Huckaby (Jason) of Central, Louisiana; William Stuart Clark (Tiffany) of Lincoln, England; and Sarah Marie Hampton (Thomas) of Watson, Louisiana; sister, Kathleen Ann Harris (Lowell) of American Fork, Utah. Carol adored her 24 surviving grandchildren and her great granddaughter, Órla Golden.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Henry Tomlinson and mother, Rebecca Mary (Chambers) Tomlinson, brother, William Stuart Tomlinson and her sister, Rebecca Jane Tomlinson and infant granddaughter, Adelaide Rose Clark.
The family thanks the many medical professionals who attended Carol over the last seven years. We give gratitude to the Bridgeway Hospice caregivers who gave unfailing support over the last several months of Carol's life.
