Candance Byrne

Candance "Candy" Lee Byrne of Baker, LA passed away on October 8, 2018 at The Carpenter House/St. Joseph Hospice after a brief illness. Born on November 9, 1946 in Shreveport, LA, she was a resident of Baker, LA since August 1967, spending most of her life as a homemaker. She held part-time jobs occasionally, including the City of Baker following Hurricane Katrina. Her caring and loving nature was what she felt the New Orleans evacuees needed, even buying essential items out of her own pocket. Her smile was sincere, and there were usually kind words that went with it. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas "Tommy" Byrne. They were married in Shreveport, LA in 1966. She is also survived by Daughter's Angela E. Hagan, and Lisa V. Roussel; Grandchildren Jason M. Heil (Katelyn), Gabe Hagan (Kristen), Katie Webb (Matt), Jordan Miller (Dylan), and Jeremey T. Heil; Great-Grandchildren Chloe Heil, Kenlei O'Neal, Riley Webb, Kamren Webb, Beauin Hagan, Ava Hagan, Eli Hagan, and Carsyn Miller; Niece Ginny Watson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clayton B. Watson and Virginia C. Watson, Brother Clayton B. Watson, Jr., and Daughter Michelle N. Heil.

The family of Candy Byrne would like to offer our sincere thanks to the staff at Lane Memorial Hospital in Zachary, LA, and the wonderful staff at The Carpenter House/St. Joseph Hospice for the loving care they provided to Candy and the family.
