Bonnie "Jean" Lee Vick, 90, affectionately referred to as "My Sweetie" by her husband, passed away on October 22, 2018 at her home in Asheville, NC, surrounded by her loved ones. Jean was born in New Orleans, LA to Hubert Austin Lee and Maxye Levisa Bullock Lee on September 10, 1928. She loved entertaining friends and family, and was an accomplished seamstress, needle crafter, skier, skater and instructor of line dancing.
Jean was loved and will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 41 years, Wade L. Vick; daughters, Jill Little (John) and Judy Haynes (Neal); sons, Stephen Vick, Stuart Vick (Shana), and Jeff Vick (Barbara); her seven grandchildren, Jason (Mattye), Jennifer (Matt), Scott (Tiffany), Christopher (Ellen), Tanner, Harper, Hannah, and Megan; and 6 great-grandchildren, Haylee, Laurel, Ava, Emily, Grant, and Lily; a great-great-grandson on the way; sister, Joyce Beplay (Don); as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Jean is preceded in death by her father, Hubert Lee, Sr.; mother, Maxye Lee; brother, Hubert "Buddy" Lee, Jr.; and sister, Joan Royce.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the memorial service at Jubilee Community Church, 46 Wall Street, Asheville, NC, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Please park in the parking garage across the street from the church.
