Bonnie Minchew

Bonnie Faye Bailey Minchew, 81 years old, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed away peacefully at her home, on August 16, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on March 23, 1942, born to Celia Dumas Bailey and Earl Bailey, in Urania, LA. She retired from Bellsouth and Aflac. She was the first female telephone installer in Louisiana. She loved to have a good time with family and friends. One of her greatest talents was being an exceptional seamstress. She also painted landscapes.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Henry Hartward Minchew; son, Russell (Chippy) Michew; daughter, Robin (David) Kennedy; brother, Jeffery L. (Jody) Bailey; granddaughters, Jessica and Megan Kennedy; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Earl Everett Bailey; mother, Celia Dumas Bailey; son, Henry "Hank" Earl Minchew; and brother, Ronald E. Bailey.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Reverend Bill Pruitt.
