Bonnie Banta

Bonnie Labatut Banta, 71 years old, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on May 10, 1953, born to Gladys and John Labatut, in Baton Rouge, LA. She worked in the finance business for 42 years.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, George L. Banta; three daughters, Kelly Kofton (Larry), Lacie Bonaventure (Jonathan), and Carrie Mix (Bryan), five grandchildren, Sydni Kofton, Bryce Kofton, Ethan Bonaventure, Garrett Mix, and Ty Mix; sister and bothers in-law, Linda Adcock (Hoytt), Dennis Baggett; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, John Earl Labatut; mother, Gladys Aguillard Labatut; and sister, Pat Baggett.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Decker, Jonathan Baggett, Rhett Miller, Mark Sherman, Hoytt Adcock, and Dennis Baggett.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Deacon Tommy Benoit. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
