Beverly Harris Escue, Jr., 79 years old, resident of Baker, was called to his eternal resting place on January 5, 2018. He entered this world in Baton Rouge, LA, born to Beverly and Lizzie Escue on September 10, 1938. He was an all-star football "Tackle" for Istrouma High in 1957. He worked for multiple companies in the Baton Rouge area and retired from Formosa Plastics.
Beverly is survived by his daughter, Sharon Escue Griffith and husband Scott; sons and daughters' in-law, Randall Escue and wife Cheryl, Jeffrey Wayne Escue, Daniel and wife Dollie Escue, Cary and Angela Bryson; step-children, Cary Bilodeau and Laurie Mercier; grandchildren, Ashley, Dustin, Mallorie, Jacob, Tabatha, Danielle, Hollie, and Brandon; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Beverly will be re-united with his 2nd wife, Gwendolyn Escue; he is also preceded in death by his father, Beverly Harris Escue, Sr.; mother, Lizzie Ethel Chaney Escue; and numerous sisters and brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, January 8, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Reverend Jay Avance. The graveside service and burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10528 Kentshire Court, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 in remembrance of Beverly Escue.
