Betty Martin

Betty W. Martin, 81 years old, beloved Mother and Grandmother, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on July 25, 1943, born to Mary and Claude White, in Oak Grove, Louisiana.

She was a blessing to everyone she came across. She was the kind of mother, grandmother, person, and friend that loved deeply, was genuine in her walk with the Lord, and was the epitome of "praying without ceasing." Even when she walked on a darkened path of sickness, she left a trail of light. She ministered through both her sickness and her health, touching the lives of so many through each season. There was never a missed opportunity to share the love of Jesus, and to her that was enough. A fighter until the end, the family can now rest knowing that she has been made whole again with her Savior and her predeceased husband, James.

Betty is survived by her son, Kenneth Martin (Cheryl); daughter, Rhonda Clouatre (Raymond); grandchildren, Courtney Clouatre Koenig (Austin) and Blake Clouatre; sister, Claudia Catanese (Larry), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Martin; father, Claude H. White; mother, Mary E. White; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the funeral service 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Jeff Eastwood. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA.
