Betty French

A native of Baton Rouge, a resident of Central, and a retired medical records technician with the VA Clinic, she passed away at her home on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 11:30pm. She was 77, and a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, where she served as a medic. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 13pm, and on Monday, March 21, 2011 from noon until religious services in the chapel at 2pm, conducted by Rev. Dennis McAnally. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. She is survived by two daughters, Marcella and Michelle French of Central three granddaughters, Andrea ONeal, Jimi Hill, and Tabitha Rice, all of North Carolina five great grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan ONeal William and Ashley Hill and Grayson Rice, all of North Carolina a daughterinlaw, Linda French of North Carolina and three special friends, Fleeta Fridge, Julie Fevurly, and Meryl Alexander. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil French Jr a son, Leslie French a daughter, Wanda Clifton and her parents, Doris and Dewitt McClure.
