Betty Etue

Betty Pike Etue, of Zachary, passed away surrounded by her loved ones, at her residence on October 1, 2021, at the age of 79. Betty was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She enjoyed worshiping God, reading, and visiting with her large family.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Melvin Etue; children, Tim Etue (Mary Glenn) of Baton Rouge, Lorrie Manuel (Mark) of Zachary, Alice Langlois (Roland) of Ethel, Belinda Cotton (Richard) of Zachary, Lee Etue (Kelly) of Walker, Joel Etue Of Huntsville, AL; her siblings, Kenneth, Laquita, Fred, Annette, Shelly, Dianna, Michael, and Dennis; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, Otto F. Pike; mother, Dorothy Pike; her brother, Dale Pike; her daughters, Threasa Etue Gill and Nancy Etue Blackwell.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Gill, Lance Etue, Jacob Etue, Marshall Etue, Trey Etue, and Tyler Gill.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Rd., Baker LA, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM, conducted by Paul Marques. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA.
