Beth Ann Rush

Beth Ann Rush, age 79, born in New Orleans on July 15, 1944, a resident of Gretna and later Baton Rouge passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, with her family by her side after a brief illness.

She was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and attended Louisiana State University. She was married to the late Gordon L. Rush Jr. for 44 years. Beth worked for Delta Airlines and loved to travel. She also loved all and any beaches and had a special place in her heart for Grand Isle, Louisiana.

Beth was an avid gardener and received her master's degree In Gardening from the National Garden Club. She was a past president of the Timberlane Garden Club, Creative Planters Garden Club, Jefferson Parish Council of Garden Clubs, and the Louisiana Garden Club Federation. Upon her move to Baton Rouge, she became a member of the Baton Rouge Garden Club. She is a lifetime member of the National Garden Club, Deep South Regional National Garden Club, and Louisiana Garden Club Federation.

Beth was also a proud member of Les Dames de Timberlane serving as a past president, the Timberlane Estates Improvement Association board of Directors, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. One of her favorite organizations was the Bengal Belles as she truly bled Purple and Gold.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Lynn Rush Frisby (Phil); her son Gordy Rush (Ashley); her grandchildren, Gordon, Jax, and Jordyn Jean Rush; brother, Jack Currault (Denise) and her nephews, Danny Currault (Rachel) and Lee Currault (Kim); her niece, Margot May (Bryan) and lifelong friend, Berengher Brechtel.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon L Rush Jr. and her parents Judge Nestor Currault Jr. and Dorothy Perrin Currault.

Visiting hours will take place at Christ the King Parish Church and Student Center on LSU's Campus at 11 Fraternity Lane on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. A private burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Gordon L Rush IV, Jax Rush, Lee Currault, Danny Currault, Burk Heroman, and Laird May. Her son-in-law Phil Frisby will be providing his musical styling during the Service.
