Barbara Wright

Barbara Taftlene Wright, 81 years old, beloved mother and granny was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 27, 2018. She entered this world on August 6, 1936, in Jacksonville, FL, 1st born to Taft Johnny Vaughn and Mary Hilda Sanders Vaughn.

Barbara is survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in-laws, Anthony and Loretta Wright, Michael Wright, and Joseph and Karen Wright; grandchildren, Joseph Wright, Jr., Mary Wright Phelps, Jonathan Wright, Angela Wright, Jason Smith, Eric Smith, and Melissa Smith; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Ellison Vaughn, Sr. and Taft Johnny Vaughn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Wright, Sr.; and son, Robert W. Wright, Jr.

Pallbearers will be, Jason Smith, Eric Smith, Jonathan Wright, Joseph Wright, Ted Mitchell, and Kerri Shepard.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, LA., on Monday, January 29, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Reverend Terry Workman. The graveside service and burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker.
