Barbara Duncan

Barbara Dale Owens Duncan, age 84, a resident of Baker and native of Centreville, Mississippi was called to her eternal resting place on October 2, 2017 at Grace Health and Rehabilitation Center. Barbara was active in the Homemakers Club and was very involved with her children as they grew up. She was very dedicated to her family and extended family and she treated everyone that entered her home as if they were her family. Barbara enjoyed traveling, quilting and going to the bluegrass festivals.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Randall Leon Duncan and wife Anna, David Carroll Duncan, Sr. and fiancé Dionne Vessier, Keith Alan Duncan and wife Sheryl; 8 grandchildren, Mellissa E. Craig and husband Kerry, Joshua L. Duncan and wife Brooke, Ansley E. Duncan, Frank D. Lees, Trevor Youngblood, Courtney Caruso, Zachary Caruso, and Ashley Peeples and her husband Josh; and 8 great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Elizabeth, Priya, Joshua Jr., Cheyenne, Lakelyn, Kayden, and Klayten. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Riddle.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Herman "Leon" Duncan; parents, Murray Van Eaton and Annie Lucille Owens; oldest grandson, David C. Duncan, Jr.; brothers, Murray Jr, Thomas, and Jerome Owens.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. The graveside service and burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery in Centreville, Mississippi.
