Barbara Bogan

Barbara Ann Moore Bogan, 85 years old, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 12, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She entered this world on August 14, 1934, born to Dorothy and John Moore, in Huntington, New York. She spent many years raising and loving many dogs, watching the birds outside, reading, doing cross word puzzles and crafts.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Debra Bogan, Cindy Vallejo and husband, Dennis, Patsy Muse and husband, Dwayne, Mickey Sanchez, and Becky Wild and husband, Tommy; son, Johnny Bogan, Jr. and wife Annette; grandchildren, Danielle Russell and husband, Joseph, Cherie Carmena and husband, Nick, J.D. Bogan, III and wife, Tori, Chris Sanchez and wife, Christy, Rachel Camp and husband, Chris, Sarah Sanchez, Marshall Sanchez and wife, Beth, Jessica Davis, Jonathan Davis and wife, Kelsey, Vincent Wild and Nick Wild; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jackie Moore and Donnie Moore; sister, Joan Hawkins; and nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Bogan, Sr; father, John Joseph Moore; mother, Dorothy Cantlin Moore; and daughter, Sandra Simmons.


Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, on Monday, March 16, 2020, from 9:00 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, officiated by Deacon Tommy Benoit. The graveside service and burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, in Baker, Louisiana.
